Ray + Chelsea:: Engaged

We think it’s absolutely amazing when two sweet souls meet each other and develop a love that’s even sweeter. Ray & Chelsea just happen to be two very sweet souls with the kind of love that warms your soul. R & C met each other through mutual friends while they were in college. The dated, and even made it through a long distance relationship when Ray was done with college. Their fairytale relationship continued when they spent a summer in Europe for Ray’s job. Their love got to flourish while living in Florence, Italy … and the big moment happened in May of 2009. R & C were in Germany at Neuschwanstein, a beautiful castle (Google it, seriously. It’s beautiful!!), when he asked her to be his wife. Oh yeah, they were standing in front of a waterfall. Are you kidding me? So romantic!!

Even though Ray & Chelsea booked us for their wedding back in January, we just met in June at Mike & Sarah’s wedding. Chelsea is Sarah’s best friend, and she and Ray were in town from Texas for the wedding. Chels and Ray will be tying the knot later this summer in Ann Arbor, Michigan (Hooray for another ‘destination’ wedding). R & C: You two are so adorable. We loved hanging out with you, and we are so excited for your wedding. We can’t wait to see you again!

Matt + Jordan:: Sneak Peek

A few weekends ago, we had the awesome opportunity to hop in the car and drive down to Alabama for the weekend. We went to visit Amanda Pair, photographer extraordinaire! Sidenote: I think Amanda should change that to her official title, since it rhymes and all! The whole weekend was so much fun! J got to explore around downtown Birmingham … all while shooting the beautiful scenery with our film SLR (let’s forget about the fact that there was no film in the camera! He’s still mad about that one). While J was out exploring, I tagged along with Amanda to 2nd shoot Matt & Jordan’s wedding.

I will elaborate more on this little thing called Southern Hospitality with the full post, but I wanted to give you a little sneak peek now. Also, head over to Miss Pair’s blog to see her full post.

Ray + Chelsea:: In Motion

This makes me laugh every time I see it … Ray + Chelsea are one of our wedding couples of 2010 (only 4 more weeks!!!). We’ve been excited to share this since we made their engagement photos back in June. Their full session will be here soon.

Jim + Ravyn Photographers:: Custom DVD

J and I have been working for weeks to solidify our brand (is it ever possible?). We have spent hours making adjustments and doing our research in order to bring our clients the best products. Along with that, we’ve finalized our logo … This is exciting. It was important to us to develop a brand that meant something to us but would also resonate well with our audience. Just like us, we wanted our logo to be simple, modern … with a touch of nostalgia.

When our custom DVD cases arrived last week, we were so excited. Excited to see our image/logo on one of our marketing pieces. It kind of meant that we were official. Yep, that’s nerdy … but oh well, that’s us! We love these new cases … and hopefully you will, too!

We love our logo. We’ll post more about it later … Of course there’s a story behind it!Custom-Photography-DVD.jpg The best part … Our DVD case vendor sends a Blow Pop with each order! They know the way to our hearts … CANDY!Blow-Pop.jpg

Custom DVD cases are available for purchase with every wedding, engagement and portrait photography session … A DVD of wedding images is always included in all of our wedding packages. Be sure to contact us for details!

Mike + Sarah:: Married

While trying to think of what I could say about Mike & Sarah, I was flooded with thoughts of how amazing these two are. Mike and Sarah were married in St. Joe, Michigan at Silver Beach last weekend; the ceremony and accompanying reception were beautiful (and fun). The day started as a cool grey morning. We were a little worried that the day might get a little soggy, but the rain only lasted for about 5 minutes, and by the time Mike & Sarah were looking in each other’s eyes saying their vows, the sun was out … and the day was absolutely beautiful. Some people think rain on your wedding day is bad luck … but I found an interesting saying: “A wet knot is harder to untie” … So, let it rain a little bit on the big day.
